Teacher BA, Grad Dip Ed., UK QTS= I joined Old Windebrowe School in January 2025, and I’m really excited to be part of the founding team. I feel incredibly lucky that my teaching career has allowed me to live and work in some amazing places around the world, including Dubai, Thailand, and Switzerland. Those experiences have shaped who I am as a teacher and as a person. After all those years abroad, my family and I decided to settle in the beautiful Lake District—our “happy place”—and we couldn’t imagine being anywhere else.
Working with children who have additional needs has become a real passion of mine. I love getting to know each young person as an individual, figuring out what helps them feel calm, confident, and motivated, and creating learning experiences that truly work for them. For me, the best part of this job is the small, day-to-day moments when a student surprises themselves with what they can achieve.
Outside of school you’ll usually find me out on the fells hiking or biking, or spending time with my wife and two children. I feel very fortunate to be here and to be part of a school that’s just beginning its journey. I’m really looking forward to helping create a warm, supportive environment where all our pupils can grow, learn, and feel genuinely valued. -

HLTA I am passionate about creating inclusive learning environments where every child can thrive, regardless of ability. My journey in education began at Keswick School, where I completed my GCSEs and A levels and developed a deep appreciation for the role education plays in shaping a child’s future. During this time, I was privileged to join a cultural exchange visit to Tanzania, which broadened my understanding of diversity and the importance of fostering respect and empathy in the classroom. This experience later influenced the focus of my university dissertation.
I graduated from Newcastle University with a 2:1 BA (Hons) in Education, where my interest in Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) grew significantly. Much of my academic work explored strategies to support neurodiverse learners and promote inclusive practices. This theoretical foundation has inspired me to apply these principles practically, ensuring all children have equal opportunities to succeed.
Alongside my studies, I have volunteered for nine years at Calvert Trust, a local stables that provides therapeutic riding for children and young adults with SEND. This experience has strengthened my adaptability, communication skills, and ability to work collaboratively—qualities essential for supporting pupils with diverse needs.I am committed to creating a nurturing, inclusive environment where every child feels valued and supported. -
